Updated all the /advent related code, permissions, schedules to update the advent kit to 2025.
Added a NPC at cove with a little snowman prison build & jump pads to get your advent kit!
Updated all the advent kits from last year to include players username in them to make them slightly unique from last year, I really didnt think I would have time to get this advent up, and only remembered today!
Updated /motd to remove Black friday deal (On time for once) and to add about the advent. For the super lazy people you can just click this message to open advent without even typing the command
Updated Log in bossbar that pops up to remove black friday deal and to advertise the advent kit.
Check out #🎉βgiveaway-events for when they drop, it drops server time GMT 10:45am after reboot, as we had issues with permissons saving over reboots before with the automated permissions being added, absolutly no idea why, but it was an issue last time.

Advent day 2 manually added as I had the server offline for a bit this morning for maintenance.

Update Chat Plugin.
Ive been putting this one off, as something always breaks, but this is an enormous update that changes all configs, is a major re-write for like 80% of the plugin, but its required for 1.21+ so Ive jumped in today and let it auto convert our configs to the latest ones.
I can already see a plethora of issues in the console, so I'm going to slowly start tackling them one by one, for things you find can you post them into;

Fixed join/leave messages.
The chat plugin is fully broken with these messages, I spent hours trying to fix it, testing, its the plugin, made a report & swapped to our premium essentials plugin to handle the messages, annoyingly I had to enable essentialsX join/leave and set to blank, so that I could remove the vanilla join/leave messages, so its not the tidiest method, until Chat Plugin fixes their mess.
But... I'm able to use any placeholder I want in the messages, for now ive just set server time, but we could show anyhting, player bal or playtime when they log in if we wanted.
Sadly. this can be used to spam chat, as this system does not have any of the spam prevention features the chat plugin has to prevent it, so @Moderator @Helper if anyone does use it to spam just give them a temp ban.
Removed the bounty message when people log in with a bounty, somehow this randomly started working after the chat plugin no longer hijacks it, this will take effect next reboot.
I cant express how long this took, testing on a fresh 1.18.2 server with default configs was my answer to it being broken in the plugin and not my configs... drives me NUTS this chat plugin, every time we update it breaks something insane.

Changed how you claim bounties, you should no longer need to track a player to claim a bounty now.
You still have the option to track a bounty, but the player will be alerted you did this, but then again you are basically tracking their location, so they should be told! But now, you have the option to collect a bounty without having to track them!

Untested, may need a restart. Give me feedback in #deleted-channel once you have tested it. if it dousnt work, wait until restart then try again.
Added 100% drop of the player head when a bounty is collected to the creator of the bounty. You'll collect via /redeembountyheads

Chat plugin update changes
All changes are related to the chat plugin update, read up.
Changed all swear filters, after spending an hour on one set and replacing them all, instantly bypassed 20 seconds after being live, put back to similar ones, but more robust.
Fixed being able to write things like "analytics" at the cost of that the word "anal" is easily abused now, but it solves normal talking.
Changed IP & Website regex filters, but ive already seen a false posative using a command(s) so i will have to either revert or try and fix tomorrow, it solved being able to write "id" but gained other issues, its very hard to get proper good regex, even with AIs help.
Partial fix to discord chat in-game, username dousnt dispaly twice, it somehow can check who you are in-game, i show up as my actual name with colors now, but for the life of my I cant figure out why the text is always &0 this isnt anywhere in the code.
Removed some rarly used bad words
TLDR; stil needs work, just give feedback in #deleted-channel for now, so its all in one place for me.

Fixed Discord chat formatting, this was one a sod to figure out, but we've come out of it with more features!
It now displays your username color & hover details as tho you are in-game!
Fixed A ton of formatting issues with missives & /motd showing brackets.
Reverted IP & domain filtering, its the same as what we had before, just more performant way to do it, If you find false positives can you please post to either #🐛βbugs or #deleted-channel asap while im in these configs, so we can get them resolved now.
Still got a few more big ones to figure out, /me Im not sure why its not registering and staff cant use color codes in chat anywhere unless we use /chc color to pick an overall color.
But overall im getting there! I knew it would be a pig to sort out after this update, also no feedback from the devs on their broken quit messages!

Fixed Next reboot, should fix /me not working, there are 4 plugins tring to do it, and they all unregister the command so nobody gets it! Forced it for next reboot hopefully.

Added Players /tag for when you log in, so you could select say "PvP time!" to alert people you want to fight, or "Building" and peolpe know you want to build, or just as a way to have a custom login for you, this is available to everyone, not permission based.
Might not keep it if people think its spammy, I just thought of it and thought it was cute
took 2 seconds to add so itll take 2 seconds to remove if we want it removed.
Put more /tag ideas in #💡βsuggestions we can always throw them into the NPC at cove to buy with in-game money.

Fixing Store Subscriptions
Fixed Commands running for first time on purchase, they wasn't running on initial purchase and was waiting for the renewal.
Given the first ever subscriber £1000 in-game for this report.

Fixed Chat colors working in chat, it turned out to just be my rank specifically that it wasn't working and just needed a perm!

Changed The chat discord intergration back to what it used to be, a solid color, because the dynamic name/colors thing is so inconsistent, this should just be consistent, everyone one discord color, ive opened a ticket with the chat plugin devs to report the issues so hopefully they fix because it was so cool having all the player info in-game when it was used.
Added hover over text to explain contributors can use that feature.
Added missive for Autumn keys, I forgot I have to add this each time.
Added missive for major rank and its features
Removed the banner from the tebex store for sale
Disabled the /me command in Essentails config for next reboot to see if this is being a pain

Solved /me not working, it was an investigation. Back up and working.
It wasnt being sent to the server, so I couldnt verbose it, see logs or anything its like the client wasnt sending it. Turns out, when I updated the proxy plugin, it renamed the folder with a capital letter, so made a new folder with fresh configs, that wouldnt have been an issue, except they moved /me into the proxy to make it cross-server instead of on the server side, and it was enabled by default, but didnt actually work, disabled that, rebooted proxy and I was able to re-bind me to the chat plugin. I still have the issue of the vanilla bukkit /me trying to be the main me, but thats one for another day.
What a headache for something so basic, but I couldnt just leave it, was driving me nuts.
Solves the bug that allowed colors in /me that we had previous.
Added /emote alias for it
Added your local time when people join/quit the server in additon to server time, so you get a good idea.

Updated/Fixed New player message & added XP boost when new people join.
Moved the new player message to premium essentials I cant get the chat plugin join event to work at all, i slightly foramtted the message to look prettier.
Everyone online will now get a 5 min 1.5x XP boost when a new player joins.

Fixed Players with uuids that started with d having their [item] broken in game because it got replaced with a smiley face from the chat plugin =D was green, it is no more! @Tulipss
I may swap the chat priority for the chat plugin to lowest, I just know something else will break tho, so RIP =D being green
Updated Global XP Boosts for new users and when people rank up to a new command that checks if there's already an XPBoost active, and if its not as good as that one, it wont replace it, I gotta find all the other places we do a global XP boost now and replace those! throw them into #💡βsuggestions if you know where else I have them...
Fixed The dodgy formatting for the new Major rank notification, its using different color code system, apparently I cant mix and match with the old one.

In preparation for 1.21 testing, Ive put my server configs into AI and asked it to check specifically for mob spawn issues, and it found both a conflict between files and a massive performance issue that was overlooked.
Buffed Monster spawning slightly.
Increased spawn-limits (bukkit)
Doubled the mob-spawn-range (spigot)
Buffed soft and hard de-spawn ranges, The Invisible Wall (paper)
Buffed entity-activation-range, so when they spawn they don't just act like statues frozen (spigot)
Nerfed axolotl spawns, for some insane reason, it was set to check every tick, so that's 20 times per second, so since we've been running that for 3 years, maybe nerfing that and improving monster spawns will be a good balance.
Since we just rebooted a few mins ago, thats now live, so your job is to see if its made a difference and my job will be to make sure performance doesn't tank, if it does i will reduce monster spawns again.

A few more changes for next reboot for gameplay behavior to save a bit more resources.
Ive done these changes for next reboot, so then you have a day of just monster changes before these ones kick in, just so there's not so many changes at once.
Nerfed Anti-xray to just show all blocks as stone instead of spending CPU to calculate patterns of ores around the player, slightly reduce CPU load.
Nerfed Removed AI from pigmen spawned via nether portals nerf-pigmen-from-nether-portals specifically for gold farms, they will still have all their drops, but basic AI, not their full walling around doing stuff, just not needed for being thrown into a meat grinder to steal their gold, just ones out of portals.
Changed Disabled Villager panic mode, I'm not sure this one is even active, but Ive enabled it anyway, If a zombie gets near a villager trading hall, every single villager will activate their AI to panic and run around, but I think Ive removed their brains anyway, so this one might not make any difference.

Fully wiped for live development of 1.21.10/11/x
Ive started work on testing plugins on 1.21.10 live on test server, public so you can join at any point to play/test.
Im using 1.21.10 right now as 1.21.11 only jsut dropped and plugins are not ready for it, I added ViaVersion so you can use the 1.21.11 client.
The plan is to slowly add more plugins bit by bit over time and test them. we have 89 plugins right now, all of these need to be updated by their developers to work with 1.21.10/x.

- Add a fresh 1.21.10 world to experment in and play about with new stuff

Crashes the server, absolutle solid work Essentails team. First major bug to solve, thats where your /bal is, maybe its time to kill it off entirely and fully move to premium essentails plugin, that has its own Eco system.

Changed for next rebootWither Skeleton drops related to #deleted-channel the outcome was;
This was changed years ago to test mob drops and reduce the chance of drops due to massive farms, but overlooked looting_multiplier for event items, which worked.
Added coal drops back
Removed sunflower drops (Im unsure if this ever worked)
Nerfed looting multiplier, there is no way to set a cap of say looting 3, so any event items say looting 4 or 5 work still, its just been reduced multiplier, kept the chance the same.
Sadly theres no way to recover the beacon market, once created these items dont expire with infinite mobs spawning its an infinite pool that only goes downwards for beacons in the marketplace.
Only way to recover would be to have them as an ingredient for brewing, crafting or a currency for something (Put them in a cannon to fire LOL)

Since we just rebooted a few mins ago, thats now live, so your job is to see if its made a difference and my job will be to make sure performance doesn't tank, if it does i will reduce monster spawns again.

A few more changes for next reboot for gameplay behavior to save a bit more resources.
Ive done these changes for next reboot, so then you have a day of just monster changes before these ones kick in, just so there's not so many changes at once.
Nerfed Anti-xray to just show all blocks as stone instead of spending CPU to calculate patterns of ores around the player, slightly reduce CPU load.
Nerfed Removed AI from pigmen spawned via nether portals nerf-pigmen-from-nether-portals specifically for gold farms, they will still have all their drops, but basic AI, not their full walling around doing stuff, just not needed for being thrown into a meat grinder to steal their gold, just ones out of portals.
Changed Disabled Villager panic mode, I'm not sure this one is even active, but Ive enabled it anyway, If a zombie gets near a villager trading hall, every single villager will activate their AI to panic and run around, but I think Ive removed their brains anyway, so this one might not make any difference.

Fully wiped for live development of 1.21.10/11/x
Ive started work on testing plugins on 1.21.10 live on test server, public so you can join at any point to play/test. Im using 1.21.10 right now as 1.21.11 only jsut dropped and plugins are not ready for it, I added ViaVersion so you can use the 1.21.11 client. The plan is to slowly add more plugins bit by bit over time and test them. we have 89 plugins right now, all of these need to be updated by their developers to work with 1.21.10/x.

The plan
- build a team of trusted players to work alongside staff to help get this tested as fast as possible, custom rank, custom area on the discord, special tags etc to keep forever once were all done, itll be an invite only system, its not made yet
- Make the global chat channel on test its own channel thats syned with survival to show up as another channel in survival staff can see
- Add a fresh 1.21.10 world to experment in and play about with new stuff

Changed for next rebootWither Skeleton drops related to #deleted-channel the outcome was;
This was changed years ago to test mob drops and reduce the chance of drops due to massive farms, but overlooked looting_multiplier for event items, which worked.
