Updated Rules
Added /allowedmods (see screenshot) which links to the performance mods allowed on PirateCraft.
As Fabiously optimised is Fabric based, theres a specific rule to not add any other mods in addition to the performance pack itself.
Updated /rules page that talks about Client mods, that you can click the rule and itll open that guide.
Both click through to the install guides & have hover over additional information
This isnt anything new, but staff keep getting asked the same questions, this is to cut down on staff time repeating themselves.

Mass cleanup! (Not completely finished!)
Today the sidebar in the discord just wound me up how messy it was with so many unused areas, so I've gone on a full nuke to clean what I can.
Backed up and then deleted ~210 closed tickets, this took a while, has to all be done manually, one by one...
Deleted the categories Closed tickets 6-10, keeping the 1-5 to fill up.
Deleted 2 staff staging channels
Removed maybe 20 crappy "meme" emojis that are never used, so I can now use the ones I need for changelogs.
Removed the staff building forum and combined it with our overall projects forum with new building tags.
Deleted all the empty forums from the "Creators Area" Category, such as "Arena builds", "Npc items".
Created a new #💡│suggestions forum that will house ALL the creator forums, content was so far and few that it makes more sence to have 1 forum, and categorise all posts with tags instead. See #deleted-channel that I also created as an overview of each tag.

Mass cleanup! (Part 2)
Deleted over 50 channels from Archive 1 & 2 Categories after backing them up (7GB worth)
Kept anything with useful information such as old suggestions
Deleted a large amount of old Archived staff channels
Cleaned up and moved channels in staff area
That should be the end of the mass cleanup on the discord.

️ Crew chat discord I initially updated to try and get Discord Crew support re-added, but the developers got more issues with it, ive made a ticket and waiting on his reply, ive disabled the discord intergration and reloaded, but it seems it needs a reboot to disable it fully. This is giving error messages when using crew chat, this should be temp until next restart. You can still use crew chat, so I will keep this version of the plugin as its the latest and it fixes a bunch of other things.

Disabled the Discord integration with crews again, it was throwing an error every time a /c was posted, waiting on dev to reply to the error its giving.
There was a second issue where all the crew chat channels had multiple copies somehow, BE had 7 for some reason! This was another issue, so Ive cleaned up all the empty duplicates.

Changes the next page pagination in /crew roster to be /next instead of /more as more is taken by other plugins as a used command. Takes effect as of next restart.
You was able to use /crew more but theres no way to change the languages file to tell you this as its a dynamic changeable command in the config, so ive just done that instead.
Also requested proper pagination, by clicking in chat from the developer, so lets see if that happens!

Fixed Crew chat discord intergration again, it seemed at reboot the crew plugin duplicated the ee crew channel 4 times, and as each is suppose to be a unique ID, throws a hissy fit as when you send a message in /c theres one crew with 4 channels, ive reported this already, ive made another report to the developers.

Fixed the VoxelSniper /v, /voxel alias, which we had rebound to /z because /v was being used by admins for vanish, but Ive decided we never need/use vanish on creative, so I have reclaimed /v on creative as the tool to select your voxel in VoxelSniper, which means all tutorials on youtube will be using the correct commands for whats on PirateCraft Creative.
The plugin update recently changed the namespace, which broke /z which in-turn to try and fix it, made me re-think this bind.

Super chorus brew now checks if you are tagged in PvP and cancels the teleport if you are, with title and message to chat to tell you, the brew will still be consumed!
I made small custom script for super chorus taking it out of the brewing plugin, which gave me the ability to check for literally anything, in this case all its doing is checking if you are PvP tagged.
@Admin Since its now its own command, you just gained a way to manually run a super chorus on someone without the drunk effect /superchorus <bad/normal/good> <username> No idea why you would need to, but you can

Hopefully fixed a bug when contributing for Firstmate rank that /rankup isn't updated to firstmate, which means if you're on track to cadet, it'll slap you back down to cadet! Apparently Ive not updated this store rank since before 1.12 because it was still running our old rank plugin command at checkout! That's how long its been since someones bought it!
This does mean, if you buy firstmate you do skip the /rankup for all ranks before it, but there's no way around this, because its on the same track and theres ranks above it!
Maybe this is just too legacy and time to retire this store option, ill re-evaluate in a few months.

/buyclaimblocks and /sellclaimblocks are now properly logged, had to make something custom to do it, no difference in how the commands used or shown in game.
Logging gives us analytics to see money going in/out of the eco, buying claim blocks is the sole way to disperse money out of the eco.
Tip: if you use those commands above without parameters it gives you the prices. $1 buy/0.5 sell etc.

Added /motd annoucement with dates & why as a rough overview, missing out lots of key information for the state of the inflation, but hopefully it gets the point across in a simple hover over.

/lotto can now buy 10 tickets, so theres going to be a MUCH bigger pot now per lottery.
Lotto should now also record whos won into a discord channel #📗│lottery_logs but I have to wait for a lotto to finish before I know if it works, if the placeholders work and if its formatted correctly so it could be wack to start. Ill open it up to everyone once I know its working, otherwise assume it dousnt work.
Disabled lottery working in the locker.
Since lottery is taxed, this acts as a pot to remove money from eco!

All tags added from /donate store to in-game! Visit /warp cove and have a chat with taggins! He will happily sell you a new /tag!
Tags are bought once, own forever, there's no lifespan on them!
PvP themed tags will unlock at intervals, slowly over time, because these are much higher quality than the base pack of meme ones.
50+ "Meme" tags, I'm not overly fond of these and originally pulled them from a "tags starter pack" lol but you may find some fun in them.
The 100k, 200k and 300k are unchanged tags! These will be broadcast to the server and discord if these are bought, as swag status.
Tags are easily added, so please make any suggestions into #💡│suggestions for new tags, just try and keep the volume down, they take a while to add and I'm sick of making NPCS at present
When buying you'll get a message from the NPC now, so that it explains what you just bought and can click the chat message.
Updated hologram at cove to say 302 tags, it seems more have been added and the hologram not updated, kept the old number in the video.

Updated /motd with all recent changes, I had to condence it as there was too much data to send to the client and it wouldn't send it all formatted.
Updated bossbar title when you login to tell you about the claim increase and the $2.5 increase on 10th Sep 2024.
Created /guide claimsprice to replace the hover over text in the /motd as it was just too much data for the client, this is now clickable from both MOTD messages, and you can direct people to this too.
Accidentally set the off white color for text, and kind of prefer it to the grey in the rest of the guides.. I just cant settle on a bloody consistent style!

Added new Missive about new Shop NPCS.
Put the whole of missives through ChatGPT to check and it fixed a ton of punctuation, capitalization, grammar & clarity for all missives! Absolutely fantastic, so I just need to do that with the rest of the missives and guides over time!
Backdated Expansion-server.jar Placeholder API expansion (the one that does server time) because its was spamming an error log every 1 second, Luckily I had the older version that works fine still on creative to copy from! Should be able to bring AM/PM back later.

In 2022, I set the Lumberjack to everyone "For a small amount of time" well, seeing that was suppose to be about 2 weeks and not 2 years, Ive set the lumberjack back to Deckhand & Cadet only, thanks for the reminder whoever it was talking about their tree farms the other day in global and then telling me "Nah bro, its ok we cant use the lumberjack" you made me check

The lumberjack lets you sell wood for infinite money, which in turn injects this money into the economy.
Added sell limits to reduce smurf use, its set high and may reduce later, but each of the 6 logs can be sold 30 stacks per hour. 30x6=$180 6x$180 = $1,080 per hour.

Its entirely possible to set per item sale permissions instead of whole shop, so we COULD instead sell higher value items to long term players to get them out of the eco, like Diamonds etc, but it would be under market value, I feel like we would just have a new NPC for that tho, have a chat, see if thats something you want, I would have to make it a temp that auto expires because apparently I cant keep track.

Change player head drop to introduce small delay before you can pick it up. This is to solve rare potential issue where dying player still manages to grab that item with their dead cold hands.
Fix for /tpahere not providing feedback message when teleportation is unsafe
Fix for teleport bypass permission not being taken into consideration fully
Fix for issue when creating bed home location on a bed which is occupied, now only empty beds can be used
Fix for heads not having full display name
Bug fixes that you wont see as a player & fixes for 1.20+
Note for myself, explodes the config for Combat/AFK/Scavenge into their own files.
Added new player shop plugin for setup/testing live (outside of test server).
This ones enormous, and will not be live just yet while we setup and test live, but it will give you a metric ton more options for selling things as players, full details will be posted when its ready for the public, live testing will happen at s79 at /shop7
Just too many variables to test, so doing it live, so far no issues.
Will not replace the current signshop, will work alongside it for a long long time period and if we as a community prefer it we will switch.
MUCH more modern, Holograms, GUI viewing items, sharing shop sales, log of sales.. Lists infinite for upgrades.

Brewing Plugin Updated!
Ahoy, crew! We've got exciting news—our brewing plugin has been revived! The original plugin was abandoned in 2022, leaving us concerned about compatibility with newer Minecraft versions. But fear not! A new fork has surfaced, bringing fresh updates and features. We've upgraded to this new version, paving the way for future updates from 1.18 and beyond, while also enhancing the brewing experience. Now, we can request features and report bugs to keep things shipshape!

Converted all data for live barrels and cauldrons to MySQL storage from flatfile (This will improve backups, stats, and allow for data use elsewhere)

Added WorldGuard Regions for the live map for tomorrows reboot.
Will show selected server regions on the live map to show what areas are protected and safe areas in the world.
Only Cove/Spawn/NESW regions are currently added, and some testnig regions for shops 1-6 while I have a play with those showing differently.

Updated Brewing Plugin Hopefully this update fixes the issue with the brewing plugin starting at boot because of the previous issue posted above, takes effect next reboot.

Removed live map showing NPCs plugin as its not worked for a while now and can't find an alternative. 
Halved the breeding-delay-ticks for villagers, should be twice as fast to breed them now, but them finding a job will still be very slow as they are still lobotomized. I might find another way to set their job role outside of vanilla, as vanilla is just a performance destroyer.

Brewing is back up from last nights update!
Live map changes Trying to nail a more consistent style. All takes effect next reboot as the plugin doesn't have a reload command.
Removed "Owners/Group Owners" & "Group members" from the info box when clicking regions on the live map, this is useless information as I am the only owner of regions as I make them.
Changed Shop regions not having a different border color for no owner, because of above, the owner does not change! Tenants of shops get added as members, sadly there is no part of the plugin to highlight no members.
Changed Changed the color system for all regions on the live map, instead of being themed around each warp, I've greatly simplified it, Green = PvP safe Region, Red = PvP on Region, Yellow = Shopping region (PvP off).

Changed all Parrots interactive NPCs to be "players" as new players not really sure about interacting with a parrot, and they stand out more.
each shop region on the live map shows an image, these are actually all unique to each shop, so I could actually show unique images for each shop if you wanted. But it would have to be for people that have had a shop forever and don't plan to go anywhere soon with it. Long term shops only if you wanted to have a unique image for when your shop region is clicked.

Added a new set called "NPCs" I deleted all the NPC markers I set the other day and re-made them in this set, so NPCs can be toggled on/off the map by themselves.

Started to work on moving signs out of spawn into holograms so we can build & move spawn, its all baby steps one by one.
Once everything isn't on sign like were on 1.4 still, we can move holograms and NPC's extremely easily to a new build.

Updated /warps sorted all warps into some sort of order, as opposed to random, via the previous update fixing sorting.
Hidden/warp shop8 from the gui as its not a real shop, and the horizontal space is for 7 not 8, so it was just out of place, still use it, just not shown in gui.
Bug Turns out this update to sort introduced a bug where it duplicates the warps to a second page, its been reported already, need this solved before I can sort all staff warps, staff are the only ones effected.
Feel free to request order changes to staff if something is off/oddly placed.

Changed Brewing "hangovers" from 7 days to 1 day.
Hangovers are a new feature that I learnt about today! From the configs this is how you get a hangover Time (in days) that drunkeness-data stays in memory after a player goes offline, to apply hangover etc. [7] The default was 7 days, I presume minecraft days.
There is no way to "cure" a hangover yet nor an admin command, I have requested both from the developer, if none are added, I will disable this feature.

Removed the "magic" formatting from signs the &k code from @Contributor due to reports of lag from s29, which turns out was caused by lots of these "magic" signs filling the shop dropping FPS to single digits.
This wont remove old "magic" signs, itll just mean no more can be made from Lieutenant+

Added /colorpicker @Contributor Turns out you have full hex support for colors where you can use them!
Acts as a color code referance, you can click to get the color code to use elsewhere, signs, books etc.
Each color has a name that you can use instead of remembering a hex, if you use it a lot.
The slight issue is that with signs, its so little space per line, once the hex is on it, theres no room left for actual words!
Not tested in books, but worth a shot, you could have some really fancy colors in your book text then! Also works with /gradients to have some really nice stuff.

Automatic Brew Discovery & Grogmaster Rank
A new discovery mechanic is here! Simply drink a brew to discover it if nobody else has before. If it’s a 5-star brew, you’ll automatically earn the Grogmaster rank!
Only 5-star brews are eligible for discovery. If you’re the first to find a brew but it isn’t 5-star, you’ll be notified that it needs to be perfected.
A bossbar title will announce your discovery to everyone online.
Discoveries will be posted in #brews-discovery.
You’ll receive visual and audio feedback for your discovery, including titles, chat messages, and sounds. (Shoutout to Tulipss for teleporting right as I took the screenshot )

Added An NPC showcasing the 4 custom brews you can find hints for around the /warp event and some basic information on how to use the /hunt plugin in-game.
The trick is to make sure you select a "collection" first, so figure out what area you want to hunt for hints using this NPC then select it in /hunt collections and then you will be able to use /hunt progress and /hunt leaderboard

Mass cleanup! (Not completely finished!)
Today the sidebar in the discord just wound me up how messy it was with so many unused areas, so I've gone on a full nuke to clean what I can. Backed up and then deleted ~210 closed tickets, this took a while, has to all be done manually, one by one...
Deleted the categories Closed tickets 6-10, keeping the 1-5 to fill up.
Deleted 2 staff staging channels
Removed maybe 20 crappy "meme" emojis that are never used, so I can now use the ones I need for changelogs.
Removed the staff building forum and combined it with our overall projects forum with new building tags.
Deleted all the empty forums from the "Creators Area" Category, such as "Arena builds", "Npc items".
Created a new #💡│suggestions forum that will house ALL the creator forums, content was so far and few that it makes more sence to have 1 forum, and categorise all posts with tags instead. See #deleted-channel that I also created as an overview of each tag.

️ Crew chat discord I initially updated to try and get Discord Crew support re-added, but the developers got more issues with it, ive made a ticket and waiting on his reply, ive disabled the discord intergration and reloaded, but it seems it needs a reboot to disable it fully. This is giving error messages when using crew chat, this should be temp until next restart. You can still use crew chat, so I will keep this version of the plugin as its the latest and it fixes a bunch of other things.

Disabled the Discord integration with crews again, it was throwing an error every time a /c was posted, waiting on dev to reply to the error its giving.
There was a second issue where all the crew chat channels had multiple copies somehow, BE had 7 for some reason! This was another issue, so Ive cleaned up all the empty duplicates.

Fixed the VoxelSniper /v, /voxel alias, which we had rebound to /z because /v was being used by admins for vanish, but Ive decided we never need/use vanish on creative, so I have reclaimed /v on creative as the tool to select your voxel in VoxelSniper, which means all tutorials on youtube will be using the correct commands for whats on PirateCraft Creative.
The plugin update recently changed the namespace, which broke /z which in-turn to try and fix it, made me re-think this bind.

Super chorus brew now checks if you are tagged in PvP and cancels the teleport if you are, with title and message to chat to tell you, the brew will still be consumed!
I made small custom script for super chorus taking it out of the brewing plugin, which gave me the ability to check for literally anything, in this case all its doing is checking if you are PvP tagged.
@Admin Since its now its own command, you just gained a way to manually run a super chorus on someone without the drunk effect /superchorus <bad/normal/good> <username> No idea why you would need to, but you can separate people?

Hopefully fixed a bug when contributing for Firstmate rank that /rankup isn't updated to firstmate, which means if you're on track to cadet, it'll slap you back down to cadet! Apparently Ive not updated this store rank since before 1.12 because it was still running our old rank plugin command at checkout! That's how long its been since someones bought it!
This does mean, if you buy firstmate you do skip the /rankup for all ranks before it, but there's no way around this, because its on the same track and theres ranks above it!
Maybe this is just too legacy and time to retire this store option, ill re-evaluate in a few months.

/buyclaimblocks and /sellclaimblocks are now properly logged, had to make something custom to do it, no difference in how the commands used or shown in game.
Logging gives us analytics to see money going in/out of the eco, buying claim blocks is the sole way to disperse money out of the eco.
Tip: if you use those commands above without parameters it gives you the prices. $1 buy/0.5 sell etc.

Tags are bought once, own forever, there's no lifespan on them!
PvP themed tags will unlock at intervals, slowly over time, because these are much higher quality than the base pack of meme ones.
50+ "Meme" tags, I'm not overly fond of these and originally pulled them from a "tags starter pack" lol but you may find some fun in them.
The 100k, 200k and 300k are unchanged tags! These will be broadcast to the server and discord if these are bought, as swag status.
Tags are easily added, so please make any suggestions into #💡│suggestions for new tags, just try and keep the volume down, they take a while to add and I'm sick of making NPCS at present
When buying you'll get a message from the NPC now, so that it explains what you just bought and can click the chat message.

Added new Missive about new Shop NPCS.
Put the whole of missives through ChatGPT to check and it fixed a ton of punctuation, capitalization, grammar & clarity for all missives! Absolutely fantastic, so I just need to do that with the rest of the missives and guides over time!

Added sell limits to reduce smurf use, its set high and may reduce later, but each of the 6 logs can be sold 30 stacks per hour. 30x6=$180 6x$180 = $1,080 per hour.

Halved the breeding-delay-ticks for villagers, should be twice as fast to breed them now, but them finding a job will still be very slow as they are still lobotomized. I might find another way to set their job role outside of vanilla, as vanilla is just a performance destroyer.

Brewing is back up from last nights update!
Live map changes Trying to nail a more consistent style. All takes effect next reboot as the plugin doesn't have a reload command.
Removed "Owners/Group Owners" & "Group members" from the info box when clicking regions on the live map, this is useless information as I am the only owner of regions as I make them.
Changed Shop regions not having a different border color for no owner, because of above, the owner does not change! Tenants of shops get added as members, sadly there is no part of the plugin to highlight no members.
Changed Changed the color system for all regions on the live map, instead of being themed around each warp, I've greatly simplified it, Green = PvP safe Region, Red = PvP on Region, Yellow = Shopping region (PvP off).

But it would have to be for people that have had a shop forever and don't plan to go anywhere soon with it. Long term shops only if you wanted to have a unique image for when your shop region is clicked.

Started to work on moving signs out of spawn into holograms so we can build & move spawn, its all baby steps one by one.
Once everything isn't on sign like were on 1.4 still, we can move holograms and NPC's extremely easily to a new build.

There's a lot more to go, but this has put a massive dent into it! All information in these holograms was updated, as the signs was very dated, and all of its been spell checked! Survival
Updated /warps sorted all warps into some sort of order, as opposed to random, via the previous update fixing sorting.
Hidden/warp shop8 from the gui as its not a real shop, and the horizontal space is for 7 not 8, so it was just out of place, still use it, just not shown in gui.
Bug Turns out this update to sort introduced a bug where it duplicates the warps to a second page, its been reported already, need this solved before I can sort all staff warps, staff are the only ones effected.
Feel free to request order changes to staff if something is off/oddly placed.

Changed Brewing "hangovers" from 7 days to 1 day.
Hangovers are a new feature that I learnt about today! From the configs this is how you get a hangover Time (in days) that drunkeness-data stays in memory after a player goes offline, to apply hangover etc. [7] The default was 7 days, I presume minecraft days.
There is no way to "cure" a hangover yet nor an admin command, I have requested both from the developer, if none are added, I will disable this feature.

Updated Brewing, a very old brew, ID 101, Bombay Sapphire that had a duplicate ID distilltime throwing a YAML error, suprised the configs loaded this long with it! This is back from the 1.12 days and earlier! The distilltime was set to 60.

Updated /ships guide, I changed ALL the ships speed info to show maneuver tool speed, and cruise speed with its "jump/skip" blocks for overall full info about each crafts speed, I also created a hover over tooltip to explain how the different speeds work in as simple way as I could think of for every ship speed text, I plan to do this for all info segments over time!
There was still a fair amount of old/wrong info, which is now all properly shown! so please do look at all ship speeds again even if you are an old player, they haven't had their info updated in years!

Added ship detection to all ship types, if you are piloting a ship and another piloted ship comes close to you, it will alert you in chat up to 20 blocks away, you can also use /contacts to check nearby ships.
Added naming ships, all ships can be named now, and the name of you ship shows up when detected in /contacts
Format is Name: on the first line, and then the next 3 lines can all be for the name of your ship with colors that also show!

Removed the "magic" formatting from signs the &k code from @Contributor due to reports of lag from s29, which turns out was caused by lots of these "magic" signs filling the shop dropping FPS to single digits.
This wont remove old "magic" signs, itll just mean no more can be made from Lieutenant+

Added /colorpicker @Contributor Turns out you have full hex support for colors where you can use them!
Acts as a color code referance, you can click to get the color code to use elsewhere, signs, books etc.
Each color has a name that you can use instead of remembering a hex, if you use it a lot.
The slight issue is that with signs, its so little space per line, once the hex is on it, theres no room left for actual words!
Not tested in books, but worth a shot, you could have some really fancy colors in your book text then! Also works with /gradients to have some really nice stuff.

PirateCraft still has 100 custom brews waiting to be discovered! To make tracking brew discoveries easier, you no longer need to manually claim you’ve found a brew—just drink it! This new system also allows us to host events for finding old brews and seamlessly add new ones whenever we like.
Automatic Brew Discovery & Grogmaster Rank
A new discovery mechanic is here! Simply drink a brew to discover it if nobody else has before. If it’s a 5-star brew, you’ll automatically earn the Grogmaster rank!
Only 5-star brews are eligible for discovery. If you’re the first to find a brew but it isn’t 5-star, you’ll be notified that it needs to be perfected.
A bossbar title will announce your discovery to everyone online.
Discoveries will be posted in #brews-discovery.
You’ll receive visual and audio feedback for your discovery, including titles, chat messages, and sounds. (Shoutout to Tulipss for teleporting right as I took the screenshot )
Brew Unlocks
Each brew you consume will now grant you a unique permission set. In the future, this will enable us to create a tracker showing all the brews you’ve tried!

Removed the packets dependancy plugin for AntiCheat, apparently its bundled now. For next reboot.

/warp event
Added An NPC showcasing the 4 custom brews you can find hints for around the /warp event and some basic information on how to use the /hunt plugin in-game.
The trick is to make sure you select a "collection" first, so figure out what area you want to hunt for hints using this NPC then select it in /hunt collections and then you will be able to use /hunt progress and /hunt leaderboard
Best to wait until after tomorrows reboot mind you, see previous update.
